JAMMU, Jan 12: The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DFSS) under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta, held a protest in Jammu city against the PDP MLA, Aijaz Ahmad Mir’s, statement that terrorists are martyrs and brothers of Kashmir.
The party workers raised slogans against the MLA demanding strict action against him on the grounds of nationalism. Ashok Gupta stated that if these terrorists are the martyrs then what our soldiers are. “Martyrs are those who give their lives to protect the innocent and not those hypocritic individuals who take the lives of innocent on the name of religion”, he added.
Gupta said that late Dr Shama Prasad Mukherjee gave his life for the nationalism so that J&K can be an integral part of India. “The State BJP should take an action against such remarks which are nothing more than glorifying statements for terrorists”, he asserted.
“It seems as if the MLA has lost his mental stability. That is why he is speaking the language of separatists and Pakistanis”, he said, adding, nobody is allowed to cross the line when it comes to nationalism.
Gupta stated that an FIR should be filed against the MLA and a case should be run upon him as per the PSA. He also stated that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti should penalize her party’s MLA for his “sensational statement”.
