JAMMU, Dec 16: The activists of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena held strong protest demonstration against the decision of the BJP-PDP Govt to provide ex-gratia to militants’ families.
The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena, under the leadership of president Ashok Gupta took out a procession in Jammu City against the decision of providing ex- gratia to the Burhan Wani’s   family worth Rs 4 lakh.
Gupta stated that as per the Army the brother of Burhan Wani was an terrorist operative who used to provide information to the terrorists and providing ex- gratia to the family of such a HM activist is an act of lowering the morale of the Army and Para-Military forces disrespecting the martyrdom of all the soldiers.
Expressing anger over Government’s decision to clear ex-gratia to the next of the kin of Khalid Muzaffar Wani, killed by the Army in an “encounter” in Buchoo forest area of Tral on April 13,  last year. Khalid was an OGW of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit operative in Kashmir who met his fate and deserved no mercy.
Opposing the move, he said the Government was showing soft corner for the militants. “ Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is playing dual policy to play with the sentiments of the nationalist forces,”  Gupta said.
He further stated that the current coalition is in  powers equally and BJP being an representative of Jammu should not accept the decision. Khaled Wani was terrorist it is  clear to all. The State BJP ministers should resign from the Government as the people of Jammu voted for them on the grounds of nationalism not to safeguard the terrorists.
