KATRA, Oct 21: In the ongoing All India Devotional Song Competition as part of Navratra Festival being organized by SMVD Shrine Board, Department of J&K Tourism and Mh1 in association with J&K Bank, Nice Gems, DIVINITI, Nidheesh Builders, Pure Roots and Vishwayatan Yog Ashram Complex with active support of District Administration and local host community at Yog Ashram Complex, today Zonal Head J&K Bank, Rajesh Gupta lighted the traditional lamp.
Celebrity Singers Himani Kapoor, Suraj Singh, 108 Ramesh Baba Ji, chairman All India Devotional Song Committee and president Hotel Association Rakesh Wazir, vice president Ajay Kotwal, J&K Bank Cluster Head Ravi Sharma, Avinish Sharma, Parshottam Raina, Naresh Raina and others were also present on the occasion.
On 5th day and last day of preliminary rounds, Juhi Singh already a famous singer from Jammu took 1st position and entered into semi final to be held on 22nd October whereas Anmol Raja from Hoshiarpur and Lalit Bhardwaj from Jammu stood 2nd while the 3rd position was shared by Raghav Bhatyar from Jammu, Chetan Sanmotra from Katra and Kritika from Jammu and they got entry into quarter final and were provided with the cash prizes of Rs. 10,000, Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 3,000 respectively.
Celebrity Singers Himani Kapoor, Suraj Singh and Prajakta Shukre gave their performances and the people were seen totally getting involved in their songs.
Rakesh Wazir Chairman of the competition while speaking on the occasion said that top film and music personalities from Bollywood would Judge the Final of the Competition on October 23.
The Devotional Song Competition was adjudged by the panels of experts in music including Dr. Surinder Kumar Sharma, HoD at GDC Sunni Shimla and Dr. C.L Verma, Ex Chairman Post Graduate University of Himachal Pradesh and Dr. Usha Kher, renowned singer.
