Devotees of Hari Mandir submit memorandum to Minister

JAMMU, Dec 29: The devotees of Hari Mandir (Namender) in village Chak Ram Chand of Samba district and villagers Chak Ram Chand and Supwal submitted a memorandum to Minister of Tourism G A Mir, MLA, Samba Yashpaul Kundal, DC Samba and former MLA Manjeet Singh highlighting various demands.
The memorandum demanded that Hari Mandir Temple (Namender) is an old temple of 200 years constructed by then Dogra rulers. It is in bad condition today and remains unattended.
It demanded development of the temple so that worship can be started there. The memorandum demanded constitution of a Committee which will take all the development activities i.e. plantation and fore wall fencing of the temple in hand.
It demanded that the agriculture land belonging to the temple be verified with reference to revenue records and restored to the temple.
The memorandum demanded that steps in this regard be taken at an earliest saying that the history of the temple is linked to Mahabharta period and is one of the ancient shrines of Jammu region which needs immediate attention.
