JAMMU, Dec 2: Baldev Singh Billawaria, Deputy Mayor, Jammu visited Jeevan Nagar, Ward No 58, along with Corporator, Tirath Kour and kick started the work of blacktopping at Jeevan Nagar in RS Pura-Jammu constituency.
The work is part of the civic body’s initiative to upgrade the infrastructure in the Ward. The Deputy Mayor Jammu inspected the quality of the road construction material and instructed the concerned authorities to ensure that the work is executed with utmost care and perfection. He also interacted with the local residents and assured them that the civic body will ensure that the work is completed on time and to the highest standards. Billawaria also emphasized the need for better maintenance of roads and drainage systems in the Ward and urged the locals to cooperate with the authorities for the successful completion of the project.
Deputy Mayor, said it is matter of delight that Ward No. 58 is becoming a model for other Wards in the Jammu city. The Ward has been receiving special attention from the local Government in terms of basic infrastructure and services. The Ward has benefitted from the various developmental projects and initiatives taken up by the JMC.
He said that the Jammu Municipal Corporation is committed to serve the public and is keen to ensure their welfare. He urged the public to come forward and work with the Government to make the city of Jammu better and livable. He further added that the Central Government is taking various initiatives to address the issues of infrastructure, transportation, and basic amenities. He said that the JMC is working towards creating employment opportunities for the people.
Billawaria said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and BJP J&K president, Ravinder Raina, the J&K is leading towards development and progressing to the fullest. Their initiatives have enabled us to build a better and brighter future for Jammu.
Tirath Kour Corporator, Jeevan Nagar, Ward No. 58, welcomed Billawaria for visiting her Ward and said that Deputy Mayor is always ready to provide support to general public. She said that it was an old demand of the area that has been fulfilled now.
Later Gautam Sharma social activists and the public of Green Avenue area complimented the Deputy Mayor and corporator for their efforts in improving the condition of the Ward.
