JAMMU, June 7: Continuing to provide better development as well as basic amenities to the people of Jammu, Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria today dedicated the development works at Jwala Ji Colony, Ward Number 56, Gangyal in RS Pura-Jammu South constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that developmental works will continue in Jwala Ji Colony for the betterment of the people. He said that this development work was completed ahead of schedule and it was a long pending demand of the local people and now this demand has been fulfilled.
Billawaria said that this lane and drain is adjacent to other lanes of the ward and now with the construction of this lane there will be relief from the problem of water logging in the rainy season. He said that they have got a lot of development works done in Ward Number 56, due to which it has emerged as a model ward.
He said that in the last four and a half years crores of rupees have been spent on development works to change the face of the ward. He said some of the major projects completed in the Ward in the last four and a half years include construction of new roads, installation of street lights, provision of better waste management services, setting up of community halls and children’s play parks.
The Deputy Mayor assured the people of the Ward that whatever other problems have remained, they will also be solved on priority. He said that the developmental works would be continued with the cooperation of the residents of the Ward. He said that the Corporation is committed to provide the best possible services to the citizens of Jammu and develop all areas.
Mandal president Ranjit Singh, Harbans Chaudhary, Rakesh Sangral, Jugal Kishore, Sunil Sharma, Surjit Kumar, Surindra Jamwal, ML Raina, Dev Raj Sharma, Pawan Chib, KD Singh, Sohan Singh Katal, Suresh Moton and others were present on the occasion.
