Deputations call on CM

JAMMU, Jan 11: A delegation of members of the Legislative Council called on the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here today.
The delegation complimented the Chief Minister for undertaking public outreach programmes to know the problems and difficulties of people of far flung areas in the State.
The delegation was led by MLC, Ramesh Arora.
The delegation sought involvement of the MLCs in the developmental process in the districts besides prioritising their demands for undertaking developmental works in their respective areas.
Meanwhile, legislators from Karnah, Raja Manzoor and Javed Mirchal also met the Chief Minister and demanded construction of tunnel on Sadhna Top. They apprised her of the difficulties people of Karnah face in the absence of a tunnel, particularly during winters. They sought her intervention in the matter.
A deputation of Bar Association, Jammu also met the Chief Minister and extended an invitation to her to visit them.
Meanwhile, the first barefoot runner from the State, Gaurav Gupta also met the Chief Minister and sought her blessings.
The Chief Minister wished Gupta good health and all well in his endeavours in life hereafter.
Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari was also present on occasion.
