Deputations call on CM

JAMMU, Jan 24: MLA, Sopore, Haji Abdul Rasheed called on the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti today and brought several issues of the town into her notice and sought their redressal.
Haji Rasheed demanded availability of adequate number of transformers for Sopore town to meet the demand in view of the winter months. He also demanded immediate de silting of historic Zainageer canal in view of the favourable climatic conditions.
Besides, MLA, Sopore also demanded establishment of parking slots in the town in view of the increasing traffic rush and congestion. He also sought earmarking of proper place for dumping of municipal waste in the town.
The Chief Minister assured Haji Rasheed to look into the issues raised by him and take appropriate action on them.
Meanwhile, several other legislators also met the Chief Minister, apprised her of the developmental pace in their respective areas and brought many of the issues into her notice.
The legislators who met the Chief Minister included Shakti Raj Parihar, Advocate Muhammad Yousuf,  Choudhary Akram, Yashpal Sharma, Saif ud Din Bhat and Dr. Shehnaz Ganaie.
The Chief Minister assured them that their demands would be looked into by the Government.
A deputation of people from Tral, led by MLA, Mushtaq Ahmad Shah also called on the Chief Minister.
The deputation sought early completion of work on Khanqah-i-Faiz Panah which has been going on for quite a long time. They also demanded to bring the area on the tourist map and development of Pahalgam-Lehan Dajan track.
The deputation also demanded strengthening the local hospital, construction of a community hall in the town and developing an Industrial Estate in the area.
The Chief Minister listened to the demands and assured the deputation that these would be put to execution at the earliest.
