JAMMU. Jan 24: A deputation of Ex Central Paramilitary Force Welfare Association led by Darshan Chauhan today called on BJP Vice President and Incharge of Jammu and Kashmir UT, Avinash Rai Khanna and submitted a memorandum highlighting the demands of the retired paramilitary servicemen.
During the meeting, the General Secretary, Darshan Chauhan demanded all the facilities should be provided to the Ex-Paramilitary servicemen as being presently provided to Indian Army personnel. However, the paramilitary was given civil status due to the Central Civil Services Act 1972, which is only applicable on the paramilitary force.
He further said after the quantum of seven per cent under the Act of 1972 and 93 percent under Civil Services, it should be separated. On the lines of the Army, they demanded ‘One Rank One Pension’ and CSD facilities to the paramilitary servicemen.
They also demanded, a meeting with Union Home Minister, Amit Shah to appraisal for the miseries being faced by the Ex-servicemen given the non availability of the above said facilities.
BJP Vice President, Avinash Rai Khanna assured them all issues raised in the memorandum would be addressed accordingly at the suitable platform.
Prominent among other part of the deputation were Samba President Gurbachan Singh, Gurdial Singh, Kaushal Singh, Noor Mohammad, Gurmeet Singh, Mahendra Singh.
