Deputation meets Director School Education

JAMMU, Mar 20: A deputation led by Dr Khem Raj Sharma, President Sarna Nehru Youth Club Samba met Director School Education and submitted a memorandum regarding necessary action for teaching Dogri subject in all Government as well as private schools of Jammu Division.
The deputation urged the Director to implement the court order regarding teaching of Dogri subject in all the Government and private institutions in the Jammu Division.
While speaking, Dr Khem Raj Sharma said that Dogri language viz language failed to get appropriate place and has been ignored by the higher authorities in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that in the year 2017, Government issued an order that Dogri will be taught as compulsory subject in 9th and 10th class from the session 2018-19, but nothing has been done till today.
“Government recently ordered to make an arrangement to hire the contractual lecturer for the session 2019-20 of all subjects, but ignored Dogri”, he said and appealed to the Director to issue order for all the schools of the Jammu Division to implement Dogri as compulsory subject.
Mohan Singh, President Duggar Manch Samba, Dr. Sushma Rani, member Duggar Manch, Chhajju Singh Katal, Dogri Singer and Writer from Samba, Bishan Singh Dardi, Singer and Writer from Samba, Kemat Raj Research Scholar Dogri, Kuldeep Raj Research Scholar Dogri, Ajay Sharma and a number of Dogri scholars of Jammu University were present on the occasion.
