Deptt wise status of public grievances on LG Portal reviewed in Rajouri

RAJOURI, Oct 27: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting to review the action taken by the concerned departments on the grievances reported on LG Portal by the general public.
Officers present in the meeting were ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; ADC Kalakote, Krishan Lal; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; PO ICDS, Shoket Mehmood Malik; AC Defence, Saleem Qureshi; CAO, Sohan Singh; CMO, Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar; DMO, Naseeb Bajrang; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt and other concerned officers.
During the meeting, the DC reviewed department-wise disposal of grievances and obtained to-date status wherein the concerned officers briefed about the same.
The DC stressed on the early and quality redressal of the genuine public issues to mitigate their sufferings.
While taking note of the pendency of grievances in respect of the departments, the DC asked the concerned officers to find out the cause of the issues so that the public don’t have to complain for the same issue again and again.
He also asked the officers of the concerned departments to look into the issues reported by the general public on priority and co-ordinate citizen-friendly solutions at their own level.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner chaired a meeting of the concerned revenue officers to review the progress regarding generation and distribution of land passbooks in the district.
During the meeting, the DC inquired about the number of land pass books to be generated and the progress achieved in this regard.
Speaking at the meeting, the DC said that issuance of land pass books to the lawful owners of land is a step to add transparency in the public service delivery in the Revenue Department.
He also said that the land pass book entries carry the evidentiary value of the record-of-rights and other public record for all intents and purposes before the courts and the financial institutions including Banks.
Stressing upon the officers to ensure accurate and up-to-date revenue record entries in the land passbooks being issued to the land owners, he asked them to ensure that the land pass books are distributed among all the lawful land owners at the earliest.
He also asked the Revenue Officers to ensure that maximum land passbooks are generated and distributed among the land owners in the district at the earliest.
The DC also directed the revenue officers to submit the progress in this regard on a daily basis and achieve the targets within the shortest possible time.
