Jammu, Aug 14: Keeping in view excellent services being provided to the tax payers of Jammu region, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has awarded ISO:15700 certification to the Income Tax Department, Jammu.
This certification is awarded as a license for the Service Quality Management System and is given after rounds of inspection and checking all parameters laid down in this regard for providing tax payers services, and other like comforts being provided to the citizens as per Citizen Charter released by the Income Tax Department.
It is being termed as another feather in the cap of Income Tax Department under the leadership of A. K. Thatai, Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K, Jammu.
It may not be out of place to mention here that very few offices in Income Tax Department of this country have been so far awarded this prestigious certificate.
