JAMMU, July 15: The indefinite strike by dental surgeons for the demand of framing a recruitment policy here today entered day 25.
The protesters claimed that none from the administration came to see the ground reality and problems being faced by dental surgeons who are allegedly facing humiliation and step-motherly treatment in the hands of administration from the last 13 years.
“We the dental surgeons appreciate the step of financial assistance by the government but it is not the solution to our problems,” the protesters said adding that all the medical profession like MBBS, BAMS, BVSC, paramedics and dental surgeons should be allowed for private practice. They demanded absorption of unemployed dental surgeon through JKPSC and other centrally sponsored schemes and separate directorate of dentistry should be established for the smooth redressal of grievances of dentists.
