Dense fog hits train traffic

JAMMU, Dec 13: The dense fog in the northern region continued to badly hit the train traffic in the region while Pooja Express was cancelled due to late arrival by more than 12 hours today.
Official sources said that Pooja Express train was today cancelled as it was late by 12.30 hours. Kolkata-Jammu Express was late by nine hours, Kamkhya-Katra Mata Vaishnodevi Express by nine and half hours, Tata Nagar-Jammu Express also by nine hours; Begumpura Express by 7.30 hours, Jammu Mail by six hours while Shalimar, Hemkund and Swaraj Express were late by 3.30 hours.
Shri Shakti Express was late by four hours, Delhi-Sarai Rohilla Express by 5.30 hours, Delhi-Jammu Rajdhani by 4.15 hrs, Utter Sampark Kranti by four hours, Jhelum Express by 6 hours 20 minutes, Bathinda-Jammu Express by three hours, Andeman Express by 3 hrs 45 minutes while Ahmedabad –Katra was late by an hour today.
The time of several trains was also rescheduled and due to late arrival of trains and their reschedule, huge rush of passengers was witnessed at the Jammu and Katra Railway Stations today. The morning flights to Jammu from Delhi and other destinations were also delay by an hour today.
