JAMMU, Oct 23: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum has claimed that National Commission for Minorities has taken up demands of J&K Government employees with the Union Territory Administration.
“Taking a note of the representation submitted by the Teachers Forum vis-a-vis their demands, National Commission for Minorities sought a detailed report from the UT Government with regard to the demands raised in the representation,” the Forum said in a statement, issued here today.
It is pertinent to mention here that on 18th August this year, a four member delegation of Teachers Forum, led by President Mohammad Shafi Rather, had met Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Chairperson NCM s and submitted a representation highlighting the issues and concerns faced by the employees of School Education Department.
In the representation, the Forum had demanded a special package from the Centre for infrastructure augmentation in Government schools. The issues of Contingent Paid Workers, PM Poshan cooks bringing the teachers working in JK at par with their counterparts in rest of India were also highlighted therein.
