Delegation submits memorandum to MoS Railways

JAMMU, Jan 23: Ramesh Kumar Khajuria member National Working Committee, Gau Parkoshat, Surjit Kumar chairman Block Development Council, Block Bishnah and Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Rehal have presented a memorandum to Union Minister of State for RailwaysSuresh Channabnasappa during his visit to village Rehal Damalian in Bishnah tehsil highlighting various demands of the area.
They demanded building of small check dam on Alak a small river at Talaa Rehal for irrigating thousands acres of land in the surrounding villages, sanction of two tube wells for irrigation purposes for forth coming paddy crop to avoid loss to farmers, release of compensation to farmers who lost their Kharif and Rubby crops as per Minimum Support Price (MSM) and not as Rs 675 per kanal as fixed by Government, construction and renovation of building for Government HSS Rehal as most of the rooms of the building are unsafe for the children.
The memorandum also demanded construction of shed and bathrooms for women near Cremation site at Rehal Dhamlian, declaration of Rehal Dhamlian as Model village by the MP concerned and adaptation of the same village as per the policy of Government of India, starting of Skill Development Institute at Rehal and starting of new train from Jammu to Haridwar on Saturday.
The memorandum was presented to the Minister at a function during his visit to the area as part of Central Government’s outreach programme.
