Delegation of Jagti Tenement Committee calls on RRC

JAMMU, Oct 11: A delegation of Jagti Tenement Committee under the leadership of its president, Shadi Lal Pandita, today met the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (RRC), RK Pandita in his office chamber to discuss various problems of KP migrants.
The KP leader, Pandita, apprised the Relief Commissioner that voter lists of the KP migrants are incomplete on various aspects and need to be brought upto date. The delegation requested him to deploy the concerned officials at the Jagti township to make inclusion and exclusion of souls in order to update the voter lists.
It was also apprised to him that the families of such migrants whose member of family has been taken on Government job under Prime Minister’s Employment Package, have been stopped the payment of cash relief (in case of relief holding families). They requested the Commissioner that the employed members of such relief holder families may be drawn out of their ration cards, provided separate ration cards, and the rest of the family may be allowed to continue to draw the cash relief and free ration.
In response, the Commissioner informed the delegation that the Case has already been taken up with the Government along with other problems and they are waiting for the consent of the Government.
