LEH, Dec 13: A delegation of 10 Numberdars from Nyoma Constituency, led by Councillor Ishey Spalzang and BJP Mandal president FS Angchuk, called on former Member of Parliament from Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal to discuss pressing issues affecting the region.
Key issues raised included the inclusion of villages in the State Revenue records, rationalization of wildlife areas, concerns about the Nyoma firing range, and the creation of new sub-divisions and blocks within the proposed Changthang district.
The meeting also highlighted significant matters, such as, the establishment of the Indo-China Trade Center at Dumtseley, opening of the Kailash-Mansarovar route from Changthang to the sacred Kailash Parvat and Mansarovar Lake, early operation of the newly constructed Mudh-Nyoma Airport and facilitating winter grazing at Kakjung pasture land.
The delegation expressed gratitude to the Modi Government for its dedicated focus on the overall development of the Changthang region.
The former BJP MP assured the delegation of his commitment to addressing their concerns while prioritizing regional development and community welfare keeping the nation’s interests ahead.
