LEH, Sept 29: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, R K Mathur was called upon by a delegation from Kargil at Raj Niwas today.
The delegation comprising Sheikh Nazir Mehdi, president Jamiat-ul-Ulama, Isna Asharia, Kargil, Capt Mohd Hussain and Sajjad Kargili apprised the Lt Governor of the road connectivity issues, especially during winter months and requested the LG to take up the issue of expedited construction of the Zojila tunnel.
The earliest possible civil air connectivity in Kargil and other general issues of development of Kargil by UT Administration were also discussed in detail and the Lt Governor gave assurance to address all the issues.
