Delay in SSA, RMSA salary human rights violation: JKTF

JAMMU, Jan 8: A meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Teacher Forum was held, here today under the chairmanship of Ab Qayoom Wani, president EJAC for discussing the scenario arising out of unprecedented delay in release of salary of teachers working under SSA and RMSA Schemes.
The meet expressed serious concern over the delay and described no release of salaries for the last six months as gross human rights violation and violation of civil service rules.
A.Q Wani said that unnecessary delay in salaries of teachers has put them and their families in mental trauma and they have reached in the stage of starvation, which should be a serious concern for every human being. “Silence from the people at the helm of affairs is shameful and highly condemnable,” he said and added that the delay and irregularities in the salaries of nation builders speaks about total failure of the Education Department.
Wani warned that if the Government does not release the pending salaries within 10 days, teachers will hit the roads once again. He also asked the teachers to be ready for result oriented struggle, which will be announced very soon.
Wani and other leaders in the meeting, also asked the Government to redress the Pay Anomaly of Masters as per the agreement, which is a pending demands of teachers and Masters beside regularization of all in charge, lecturers, principals, headmasters, ZEOs, ZPOs, rural regularization of contingent employees and implement minimum wages act, cash in leave in favour of teaching community engaged in winter.
