JAMMU, May 1: The decomposed body of a man was recovered today from his own residence here at Bhagwati Nagar.
According to Incharge police post Canal Road, Sanjeev Charak, they got a call this evening from one Sector- 3 of Bhagwati Nagar area that some foul smell is coming from one of the house of their locality.
He said that a police team immediately reached the spot and entered into the house, where they found the decomposed body of the man identified as Satnam Singh (45), son of Mohan Singh, who was living alone in the house for quite long time after his wife left him. According to the neighbours the deceased was a habitual drunkard.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for conducting post mortem tomorrow.
A case under 174 CrPC was registered at concerned police station and further investigations started.
