Decision to regularize services of casual labourers a welcome step: Dar

JAMMU, Dec 14: The decision of the Government to regularize the services of 60,000 casual labourers working in different departments is a welcome step.
This was stated by Mohammad Gafoor Dar, Convener, J&K Government Employees, Casual Labourers, Workers and Pensioners United Platform while interacting with media persons here today.
Dar stated that casual labourers engaged after 1994 were suffering badly and Government annou-nced that the regularization policy will be framed in the current year for which a committee of  bureaucrats headed by Chief Secretary was constituted to find out the suitable ways regarding regularization policy.
“Statement of Chief Minister that the SRO regarding regularization of casual labourers will be issued within couple of days had brought smile on the faces of the 60000 casual labourers working in different departments since long”, he asserted.
He stated that Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu and Chief Secretary BB Vyas made sincere efforts to settle this long pending issue of regularization.
Dar asked the casual labourers of all the departments to participate in the victory rally to be held on January 4 at Press Club Jammu.
Among others present were Rajinder Kumar, Nazir Ahmed Molvi, Tanvir Hussain, Akhil Sharma, Bhanu Partap Singh, Pardeep Singh, Puneet Sharma, Deepak Gupta, Subash Chander and Vikramjeet Singh.
