JAMMU, Feb 13: District Police Udhampur organized a debate competition on “Women Empowerment in Indian Democracy” at Government Higher Secondary School, Basantgarh.
On the occasion, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Basantgarh, Kewel Krishan Bhagat was the chief guest.
In the competition, students of Government Higher Secondary Schools Basantgarh and Panara participated and expressed their views on the topic. Veenakshi Thakur, Sakshi and Sonam emerged first, second and third. They were awarded with cash prizes of Rs 4,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 1,000 respectively.
The competition was organized by SHO Basantgarh Inspector Vikram Singh Manhas under the supervision of SDPO Ramnagar Abhishek Sharma and SSP Udhampur Suleman Choudhary.
