Dealing with rape cases

Sir,
During the past some weeks many rape cases of minors have surfaced in the country. These incidents have shocked the collective consciousness of the society. People are in rage in almost every part of the country. There have been many protests, candle light marches, seminars and debates  to bring the attention of the Government towards this social issue. In response to it, the Government has brought an ordinance for death penalty which has been okayed by President of India. The ordinance is need of the hour and is appreciable.
It is usually said that “Death Penalty is the only solution for the minor rape cases” but this notion should not give birth to another notion that rape of an adult is not to be seriously dealt with and punished. Some of the suggestions can be putforth as (a) Death penalty is the only solution in minor rape case (ii) In adult cases where only one individual is involved thorough investigation is needed and if the rape is proved,  he should be awarded life term.
In cases where two or more persons are involved with an adult woman then there is no need to prolong the rape trial;  death penalty should be the rule.
In juvenile case as per the existing law a review is needed. Any male whosoever  commits such crime should be punished. Juvenile age does no matter. He must be punished in a similar way as are others  for meeting justice.
Yours etc….
