KATHUA, Apr 19: An unidentified dead body was recovered at Railway track Kherote near here this morning. The body has been shifted to mortuary of District Hospital Kathua by Railway Police Govindsar for identification.
The face of the body was totally damaged. The cause of death is not known, police said.
It is investigating the matter and has also registered a case under relevant sections of the law in this regard.
The postmortem of the dead body will only be held after its identification, police said.
