DDG ICCR calls on Governor

SRINAGAR, Oct 8: Namrata S. Kumar, Deputy Director General, Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), accompanied by Kamna Prasad, Coordinator ICCR for the seminar and Ayaz Rasool Nazki, Regional Director ICCR called on Governor N.N Vohra, here at the Raj Bhavan.
Mrs. Kumar briefed the Governor about the preparations underway for three days (25-27 October) International Seminar on “Sufi Rishi Traditions of Kashmir” being held in Srinagar. This event is being organized by ICCR and University of Kashmir in which 15 scholars from abroad and across the country are expected to participate.
The ICCR’s team also discussed its future programmes for projecting the art, culture, and traditions of the State and the efforts presently underway to give a fillip to the various local cultural and educational organizations in showcasing their talent to the outside world.
