RAJOURI, May 25: Former minister from Congress Party and Vice Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Khan today started blacktopping of an important 10 kms road from Manjakote via Hayatpura to Dodasan Bala in Thannamandi. This road connects Manjakote directly with Thannamandi and over one lakhs people will be benfitted with this road.
Shabir Ahmed Khan while addressing media said that his aim is to connect each and every village with a better quality road in his area and he will try his best to provide all basic amenities to everybody living IN Rajouri district. Khan said he will ensure that all the UT level and Central Sponsered Schemes are implemented smoothly on the ground in his district.
Khan further said that he will ensure better quality works in his Territorial constituency and will leave no stone unturned for the welfare of the people.
He disclosed that approved cost of this road project is Rs 4 crore and the task will be comleted shortly.
The DDC asked the Executive Engineer concerned to ensure the quality of work and completion within timeline. He also asked for strict adherence to SOPs and protocol of COVID-19 pandemic at the work place by the concerned officials and contractor besides supervisory staff.
