UDHAMPUR, Sept 26: The District Development Commis-sioner (DDC), Udhampur, Yasha Mudgal, flagged off the bus taking a batch of 30 progressive orchardists from different panchayats of the district for five- day exposure-cum-training tour to different parts of the State, from DC office complex here today.
The whole program was organized by Chief Horticulture Officer Udhampur, C L Sharma, under Capacity building while implementing Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH).
DDC appreciated the efforts of Horticulture Department and asked the Chief Horticulture Officer Udhampur, C L Sharma, to arrange such more programmes in future too for the development of skill in rural folk for better understanding of Horticulture Sector.
Earlier CHO briefed the orchardists about the importance of such programme.
Among others, Salil Kumar Gupta, District Level Subject Matter Specialist (Entomology), Satvir Singh, District Level Subject Matter Specialist (Pomology) Udhampur, Rajesh Dhar, District Horticulture Officer, Udhampur and Horticulture Development officers were also present on the occasion.
