During his visit, the people requested the district administration to augment the existing structures for the travellers who get stranded on this route especially at a time when Mughal Road has more rush of traffic due to the closure of the National Highway.
On hearing these problems the Deputy Commissioner Shopian asked the Mughal Road Authority and Wildlife Department to open their guest houses for general public while new shelter sheds are being developed on this road.
He also directed the concerned authorities to ensure supply of essentials at various spots on this route. He appealed people to avoid journey on Mughal Road in late hours and also contact the control room established by his office at Mini Secretariat, Shopian, prior to journey.
