DDC Shopian conducts surprise inspection of Govt offices

SHOPIAN, Jan  16: Deputy Commissioner, Dr Owais Ahmad along with Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shabir Ahmad and several other senior officers today inspected different offices and took stock of the arrangements, disposal of public grievances and development projects.
The DDC directed the heads of department to remain available for the public and solve their problems and grievances without any delay. He also took stock of the facilities in waiting halls.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed the officials to make sure   sufficient availability of food items, gas and medical facilities in the district.
He said that the district administration will remain available at the doorstep of people so that they do not face any inconvenience in the harsh winter.
Dr Owais added that administration will follow zero tolerance approach towards non-serious officials and directed them not to leave the station without prior intimation. He said that the inspection was not only conducted to check their presence but also to check whether the offices have sufficient heating arrangements for officers/officials and visitors. He further reassured that administration has been fully assisting the offices in case of any requirement and the public is free to contact him directly in case of any issue.
