Samba, Dec 22: The District Development Comm-issioner Samba Sheetal Nanda held interaction with industrial representatives here today.
The meeting was attended by ADC Samba Pawan Sharma, General Manager DIC Krishan Lal, AD Employment Vikram Sharma, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer and industry representatives.
Various important issues were discussed in the meeting like actual requirement of skilled/semi-skilled manpower and up gradation of skills of local youth accordingly. As per the requirement of the industrialists the data of unemployed youth registered with District Employment and Counselling Centre Samba will be uploaded on the official website of district Samba for easy access.
The industrialists discussed about the gap in trained ITI youth and the requirement of the industry. The issue of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was also discussed in detail and it was unanimously decided that every industrial unit will adopt at least one school in district Samba under CSR and the DDC desired that results should be visible on the ground.
Besides the issues related to the scope of providing jobs to veterans and their wards in industrial units, adherence to the pollution control norms and maximum plantation in open areas by industrial units were also discussed.
The entrepreneurs also raised various issues pertaining to industries such as establishment of Common Effluent Treatment plant and connectivity between Industrial Growth Centre Phase 1 and Phase 2 etc.
