SAMBA, Aug 25: District Development Commissioner, Samba Sheetal Nanda who is also Chairperson District Health Society Samba, today reviewed National Health Mission.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Samba Vivek Sharma, CPO Samba Davinder Singh, CMO Samba Dr. Rajeev Sharma, DSWO Samba Mushtaq Choudhary, Medical Superintendent District Hospital Samba, BMOs and other officials of Health Department.
DDC Samba reviewed the physical & financial progress of various schemes under NHM Samba and stressed for a focused approach to achieve the objectives & targets determined in various components of NHM. She impressed all BMOs to monitor the progress of each health institution to provide best health care services to the public.
She also stressed on improving sex ratio and special focus on child immunization, gynecology and obstetrics services. The medical officers were directed to review infant deaths and furnish a report in this regard. She emphasized that deliveries should also be made at PHC along with District Hospital Samba. She further directed to refer all vacancies to the concerned recruiting agencies.
While reviewing ASHA functionality of district Samba, DDC directed that non-performing ASHA workers should be disengaged.
Apart from NHM, threadbare discussion & progress of other sectors viz District ASHA mentoring & monitoring committee, District ASHA Grievance redressal Committee was also held.
DDC Samba exhorted upon the concerned officers to monitor these schemes.
