RAJOURI, Sept 11: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, along with a team of officers today inspected the progress of work on several developmental projects in the Doongi block.
The DDC was accompanied by Xen Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed; Xen PWD Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain, JEE PWD (R&B) Rakesh Kumar Sharma and other concerned officers.
Inspecting the progress of work on 135 Meter Androlla Bridge, the DDC was informed that the bridge project is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 7.72 crore under the Languishing scheme. With the completion of this project, about 8000 people will get all-weather connectivity, informed the Xen PWD.
At the water supply scheme Androlla, the ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri informed that the scheme is being executed under Jal Jeevan Mission and has been approved at an estimated cost of Rs Rs 3.71 crore. It was also informed that about 558 souls would benefit from the completion of the project.
The DDC asked the concerned officers to expedite the progress to complete the projects within the set timeline. He further asked to bring in his notice bottlenecks, if any, impeding the execution of works so that the same can be resolved in time in the larger public interest.
