SAMBA, Mar 26: To assess the quality of medical services, punctuality and patient care in the hospitals, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Rajinder Singh Tara paid a surprise visit to the Accidental Hospital Vijaypur today and inspected various wards of the hospital and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients there. In order to get first hand feedback, he interacted with patients and enquired about the level of services provided to them on time.
During surprise inspection, four doctors and a sanitary official were found negligent to their duties. DDC directed Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to withhold their salary.
DDC also exhorted upon the CMO to ensure that norms are strictly followed and patients should be served with utmost dedication and sincerity. He stressed on the cleanliness of the Wards and corridors besides maintaining proper sanitation of the hospital. He impressed upon the entire medical staff in the district to provide patients best possible care.
