DDC inaugurates workshop on EFMS implementation

KATHUA, Feb 28: Rural Development Department, Kathua organized one day workshop on implementation of Electronic Fund Management Services (EFMS) under MGNREGA here today.
District Development Commissioner Kathua Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary inaugurated the workshop while Director, Rural Development Department, Jammu G. N. Balwan, was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Programme Officers, Block Development Officers, Panchyat Secretaries, Executive Engineers, REW, AEE, GRS, AAO and Data Entry operators participated in the workshop.
As many as 375 delegates participated in the workshop.
While speaking on the occasion, District Development Commissioner enjoined upon the officers and other participants to keep no stone unturned for optimum achievement in various schemes launched by Rural Development Department.
Director RDD said that direct benefit scheme will help long way to ensure transparency and fast disposal of various entitlements under various centrally sponsored schemes.
Earlier, ACD Kathua Tilak Raj briefed the participants regarding the implementation of MGNREGA.
Resource persons from Rural Development Department and National Informatics Centre gave detailed resume of the programme and apprised the participants of modes of electronic fund management service.
They also trained the Data Entry Operators for online fund transfer so that the benefits of the various Centrally sponsored schemes especially MGNREGA can percolate down to the deserving masses without any pilferage.
