UDHAMPUR, June 17: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today inaugurated Sulabh toilet complex at bus stand here.
The complex, completed at a cost of Rs 6.40 lakhs, was inaugurated in presence of Chief Executive Officer MC, Chalotra and civil society members.
On the occasion, the DDC said that facility will be of great convenience for the locals and commuters.
The DDC issued instructions to Municipal authorities for the repair of old urinal and sanctioned Rs 2 lakh for the same. He also asked the CEO Udhampur to ensure cleanliness at all public conveniences.
The DDC directed CEO and Tehsildar Udhampur to identify more places within the town for construction of 8 to 10 more Toilet Complexes for the convenience of the public and prevent defecation in the open.
