SAMBA, Sept 16: Departments of Animal Husbandry and Health today organized a programme at Sangwali Panchayat under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY).
District Development Commissioner, Samba, Sheetal Nanda was the chief guest on the occasion.
A veterinary centre of Animal Husbandry Department was also inaugurated by DDC Samba at Sangwali Panchayat Ghar. On the occasion, more than 150 farmers were present and provided Berseam and oats seed kits by the department.
Also a medical camp under ISM was organised at Sangwali Panchayat Ghar in which 100 patients were checked and provided medicines free of cost by team of doctors and paramedical staff. Among others District Sheep Husbandry Officer Dr. D B Singh, BMO Ghagwal Dr. Sudershan Katoch, Tehsildar Ghagwal Rajni Bala, BDO Bhawani Attri were present.
The DDC emphasized upon the people to avail maximum benefits from the welfare programmes and directed the concerned departments to generate maximum awareness about their schemes .
