DDC holds public grievances camps at various places

REASI, Dec 24: District Development Commissioner, Prasanna Ramaswamy G concluded two days tour of tehsil Pouni in which he visited various places to take stock of public issues besides inspecting development works at Shiv Khori Shrine.
The DDC was accompanied by ACR Harbans Lal, ACD M.Y. Malik, Executive Officer OM Prakash, CMO Dr. L.D. Bhagat, CEO B.S. Jaral, XENs, Tehsildar Rajesh Barru, DySP Nikhil Gogna and various other district  and block level officers.
After completing the tour of Bhambla and Laiter, the DDC moved towards Ransoo where he held public grievances camp to listen public issues. Later, he visited at slip counter and pony counters and enquired about quality of services being provided to the pilgrims visiting Shiv Khori Shrine.
The DDC along with Executive Officer Shiv Khori Shrine and other officers inspected the track, eating points, shops and other establishments from base camp to main cave. He instructed the Executive Officer for proper maintenance of toilets besides ensuring full clearance of track. Instructions were also passed for repair of existing track lights and installation of new ones at the identified locations.
The DDC also inspected the ongoing works at main cave and asked the Executive Officer to pay regular visits for gearing up the works and keeping check on the basic facilities being provided to the tourists at the shrine. He said there should be no over-charging and hiking of prices.
Inspection of bus stand Ransoo was also undertaken. The bottlenecks for construction of taxi stand were also resolved. The DDC met local people of Ransoo town who raised the issue of construction of structures which has been banned there. The DDC assured the people to make resolution of all their genuine issues.
During grievances redressal camp at Sangar, the locals raised several issues of their areas but the main issue came on the front was shortage of drinking water since three months. The DDC immediately instructed the XEN to deploy the water tanker twice a week till the complete functioning of water supply scheme in the areas.
