KATHUA, Jan 20: With the aim to create awareness among the rural population regarding the importance of Adhaar cards and to ensure enrolment of left out population in the district, a special mobile van was flagged off by the District Development Commissi-oner, Kathua, Ramesh Kumar today.
Pertinent to mention here that Census Department J&K has pressed into service a special mobile van to ply across the State for capturing biometric enrolment of left out population in every district. The special mobile van is fully equipped with biometric capturing machine along with technical team to facilitate the Adhaar enrollment.
The district administration has formulated a 15 days schedule of special mobile van where Bio Metric Enrollment (BME) coverage is low.
Under the schedule special mobile van will visit Chak Sardar Desa Singh, Changarn, Kanta and Domar villages in tehsil Kathua on January 20, 21 & 22. The special van will visit Chann Arorian on January 23 whereas in tehsil Marheen village Ladwal and Gujjar Chak on January 24 & 25 in Hiranagar tehsil. Gujroo Nagrota & Gurha of Ramkote tehsil on January 26 & 27. The special van will visit village Dadwara of tehsil Billawar on January 28, village Machhedi of tehsil Lohai Malhar on January 29, village Dharkore of tehsil Mahanpur on January 30, village Bhoond of tehsil basohli on January 30 and February 1. In its last leg the special van will visit village siara karode on February 2 & 3 for Bio Metric Enrollment (BME) coverage and awareness.
The DDC while speaking on the occasion said that the district administration is committed to ensure 100 percent enrollment of Aadhar in the district and special mobile van will prove instrumental in achieving this target.
