DDC flags off special mobile van for Aadhar enrollment

DODA Jan 27: District Development Commissioner Doda, Bhupinder Kumar today flagged off a special National Population Register (NPR) mobile van from District Headquarters Doda to enhance Aadhar enrolment in the rural areas of the district and to create awareness among the masses regarding the benefits of having the Unique Identification Aadhar Card.
Pertinent to mention here that the mobile van has been pressed into service by Directorate of Census Operations, J&K with a purpose to capture the biometrics and to create awareness. The biometric van fully equipped with biometric capturing machine along with technical staff to operate the machines will tour the entire district for which administration has chalked out a 16 days schedule from January 27 to February 11.
Mobile van will visit various areas of erstwhile tehsil Doda from January 27 to 30, Bhaderwah tehsil from January 31 to Feburary 3, tehsil Thathri from February 4 to 7 and Tehsil Gandoh from February 8 to 11, 2016.
DC said that special focus is being laid on the coverage of those areas which have less Aadhar enrolment and special camps would be conducted to motivate people to register through these mobile vans and already established permanent facilitation centre. He further said that district administration is committed to achieve 100% Aadhar enrolment and this mobile van will prove instrumental in this effort.
ADC Doda Mohammad Hanief Malik, DIO Doda Anoop Kumar, District Incharge NPR Vijay Kumar and Sumit Kumar were also present during flagging off ceremony.
