JAMMU, Dec 26: Former Member Legislative Council (MLC) Choudhary Vikram Randhawa has said that the result of recent District Development Councils (DDCs) and Panchayat by-elections is clear indication that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Randhawa said this while addressing people of Ward No-55 (Shankar Colony, Kunjwani) in Gandhi Nagar assembly segment where he visited today under public outreach programme.
While speaking on the occasion Randhawa said that in the recently concluded elections BJP has emerged as the single largest party in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir which shows that the people are happy with the public oriented policies of the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On the occasion, the locals raised various issues pertaining to power and water supply. The locals informed the former MLC that following a disconnection drive conducted by the officials of PDD the entire locality has plunged into darkness from past over a fortnight.
Randhawa immediately issued directions to the officials of the PDD for restoration of power supply to the entire area and also urged people to get their connections regularize and clear all outstanding dues in installments.
Similarly, Randhawa issued various directions to the officials of the PHE to ensure proper supply of potable water to the locality. He said that BJP is committed to implement ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ in letter and spirit irrespective of caste, colour and creed. He said that any resident of Gandhi Nagar assembly segment can come to him any time for redressal of their grievances.
