JAMMU, Nov 13: District Development Commissioner Jammu, Ajeet Kumar Sahu today convened a meeting of the executive members of the e-Governance Society to discuss the modalities for successful implementation of the e-office project.
The ambitious project which aims at improving productivity, transparency and turnaround time by replacing the old manual process with an electronic file system is under implementation in the office of the Deputy Commissioner Jammu in a phased manner and will enable the electronic movement and the tracking of files, and the archival and retrieval of data.
Discussions were held on various technical and logistic aspects of the project implementation and directions were issued to the concerned officers for ensuring that the project is implemented in the scheduled time by setting up the requisite IT infrastructure.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Adm) Jammu, Chief Planning Officer, District Informatics Officer, NIC Jammu, Chief Medical Officer Jammu, Chief Education Officer, Jammu, Assistant Commissioner Development Jammu and other senior officer were present in the meeting.
