DDC Chairman kick starts work on Barshalla to Bhalwana road

DODA, Apr 11: District Development Council (DDC) Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal today kick started the work on Barshalla to Bhalwana road here today in the Sub Division Thathri in the presence of DDC member Thathri Sandeep Singh Manhas.
Chairman DDC said that the road was sanctioned in 2019 at a estimated cost of Rs 18 crore but it was withheld due to the non availability of forest clearance. After persistence efforts of the council and District administration, the clearance has been sought and the work has been started, he added.
The Chairman also visited Government Higher Secondary School Thathri and interacted with the students. He enquired about the quality of teaching being imparted in the institution, besides listened to the issues of teaching staff and assured them that their genuine issues will the resolved in the coming times in consultation with Education Department.
Chairman DDC also paid surprise visit at the Food Store of Thathri and enquired about the quality of ration being distributed to the beneficiaries, besides asked them to ensure that all the beneficiaries should get the due ration scale on monthly basis as sanctioned by the Government.
Among others who accompanied the Chairman were SDM Thathri Athar Amin Zargar, XEn PWD Doda Ayub Wani, concerned officials and PRI members.
