JAMMU, Nov 17: DDC Chairman Jammu Bharat Bhushan Bodhi today stressed on bringing transparency in the functioning of District Administration.
He was speaking during a meeting held to discuss Master Plan 2032 here today. In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Anshul Garg, ADDC Jammu, ACD Jammu, Vice Chairman JDA, DDC Members, BDC Chairpersons of Jammu district and officials of JDA and Rural Development Department were present.
The DDC Chairman asked the concerned quarters to ensure that the aforesaid Master Plan should be placed in public domain for bringing transparency in the functioning of the administration.  He made it clear that the people have the right to know about the exact jurisdiction of the aforesaid plan. He divulged that 90 new villages have been added in the Master Plan and it is imperative that the people should know this fact besides having precise knowledge of the Khasra Numbers of the villages being incorporated in the Master Plan 2032.
Bharat Bhushan also gave directions to JDA for simplifying the procedure for granting permissions for the convenience of people intending to construct their houses. He also said that JDA demanding the NOCs for power and water supply is an ‘absurd’ thing as the same has been promised by the Prime Minister himself and the government is committed to do this as soon as possible. He said that the process of getting permission for the construction of houses should be online and time bound. He demanded one week’s time is more than enough to give such permissions.
The DDC Chairman Bharat Bhushan also reviewed CAPEX Budget during the meeting.  He said the functioning of RDD is not satisfactory. He gave directions for speeding up the tendering process so that 100 percent work target under the annual budget of Panchayati Raj Institution of Jammu district which is Rs 86 crore per annum would be achieved.
