JAMMU, June 19: Drivers and Cleaners Union Jammu Municipal Corporation (DCUJMC) in a meeting held today under the chairmanship of its newly elected president, Ranjit Singh, appealed the JMC Commissioner to regularize all contractual drivers and cleaners working in the department.
The meeting also disclosed that union has nominated Balkar Singh as chief patron of the Union, Jaspal as chairman and Mohd Sadiq as general secretary while executive body and other office bearers will be nominated within a week’s time.
The Union also declared its affiliation with Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Trade Union (JKPDTU) with immediate effect and handed over a letter and resolution in this concern to the State president, JKPDTU, Suresh Sharma.
