RAJOURI, Apr 6: As an interim arrangement in the wake of some complaints by parents of the students, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary has issued certain directions on fee charges, quality of education and necessary infrastructure, to be complied by the management of private schools in the district.
As per the order, the schools have been strictly refrained from mid-term revision of any type of charges and enforcing the students to purchase books/ uniforms/ bags and other stationery items either from the school or from their recommended shops.
Further, the orders says, each school shall put on the Notice Board complete information regarding fee charged for different classes/ syllabus oriented books/ transport charges, complete database of the staff engaged, ensure proper power system, drinking water facilities besides play ground and shall also ensure proper functioning laboratories with complete safety measures.
Directing that complaints of parents and students must be addressed properly and disposed off in time bound manner, the DC further impressed that inspection of schools by district administration shall be carried out by Special Designated Team with members of School Education Department from time to time.
Warning action against the unauthorized schools or classes, the DC said that the each school should function in well equipped/ventilated infrastructure in the light of role of School Education Department while transport fare should charged in accordance with the rates approved by ARTO Rajouri.
Asking Chief Education Officer, Rajouri and Zonal Education Officers to ensure implementation of the directions, the DC has warned that any violation of these instructions will be taken seriously and strict action will be taken under rules against the defaulters.
