REASI, Nov 24: Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Indu Kanwal Chib today conducted an exhaustive tour of remote areas of Tehsil Thuroo to assess public grievances besides taking stock of developmental works.
The DC interacted with the locals of these inaccessible areas and enquired about the status of various essential services being extended to them by the government.
The DC, while reviewing the status of roads in the area, addressed a dispute impeding the road construction from Parthkot to Challad, of Arnas Tehsil being constructed under PMGSY. Several concerns were addressed by the DC on spot while as some were referred to concerned authorities for redressal.
DDC, later, met with locals at village Kot Gali where she addressed land compensation issues and other issues of public importance like water scarcity and electricity concerns.
She gave on-spot directions to the officials of PHE, PDD and Irrigation & Flood Control departments for redressal of these issues at the earliest.
