DC takes stock of public grievances

RAJOURI, June 27: District Development Commissioner Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today convened a public meeting at Loorkote to discuss various development plans with the public, take stock of their issues and seek their feedback regarding the works already executed by different departments.
Addl DCs Shafiq Choudhary, Gurmukh Singh, ACD Akhtar Hussain Qazi, CEO RDA Dr Tahir Firdous, DPO Dr Abdul Khabir, CMO Dr Suresh Sharma, Tehsildar Rajouri Mehmood Reyaz, BDO Zubair Ahmad, along with other concerned officers attended the meeting.
Detailed discussions regarding developmental needs of the area were held with public and plan for upgradation of roads, water and power supply infrastructure, strengthening of Government institutions like schools and health sub-centre for quality services was finalised by the DDC.
The DDC directed for construction of link roads by REW and expeditious execution of already approved roads by PWD and PMGSY. The demand for installation of power stations and HT/LT extension was also discussed and locations finalised.  It was decided that suitable locations shall be finalised in consultation with the public for installation of hand pumps for providing water to all hamlets.
Later, the DDC convened a review meeting at Chingus wherein detailed discussion was held on developmental demands and public issues related to various hamlets in Loorkote, Chatyar, Chingus and adjoining areas.
