SAMBA, May 1: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Samba, Abhishek Sharma today conducted a whirlwind tour of the border belt of Ramgarh to review the security scenario, river protection works and other pressing issues of the public. During the tour, the DC also interacted with locals to gain a firsthand understanding of their concerns and needs.
During the visit, Commandant 51 Battalion BSF K. Umesh, SSP Samba Benam Tosh, Adl SP, DIO, Tehsildar, BDO, AEE flood control, AC BSF BOP nursery, Malluchak and others accompanied the DC.
Interacting with the locals, the DC said that the border belt region is of strategic importance, given its proximity to the international border. “Therefore, ensuring security and protection is the top priority for the administration,” he added. The DC reviewed the security measures in place and discussed ways to further strengthen the same .
The DC also reviewed the river protection work in the region, which is essential to prevent flooding and damage to property and crops.
The DC discussed measures to improve river protection and ensure that the river systems in the region are well-maintained.
During the tour, the DC interacted with locals and listened to their concerns. The DC appreciated the active participation of the locals in maintaining the security of the region and expressed his gratitude for their support. The DC also assured the locals that their concerns would be addressed, and steps would be taken to improve their living conditions.
The DC visited BOP Nursery, in forward Village Kajyal Kurd, BOP Malluchak, Khamore Forward and other forward villages.
