JAMMU, Nov 10: Deputy Commissioner (District Registrar NPR), Jammu, Simrandeep Singh today convened a meeting to discuss issues regarding updating of National Population Register (NPR) database and seeding of Aadhaar number in NPR database.
Deputy Commissioner reviewed the process of registration under NPR in detail and asked the census authorities to expedite the process in the district. He asked the Tehsildars and other concerned officers to work with utmost zeal and dedication to ensure cent percent coverage.
He said that the scheme is beneficial for common people as they can avail facilities like Ration Card, Electric Connection, Bank Account, School Admission and MGNREGA job cards through this scheme.
The training programme for the enumerators would start from November 16 to make them aware about the latest techniques for filling the NPR data booklet and other related forms during their field work.
